Mei Li is an international award-winning director and animator with an M.F.A. degree from Pratt Institute in New York. She studied 2D animation B.F.A at Communication University of China at Beijing.
Her animated short, Break The Fire was the winner of Imagine This Women's Girl Power Film + Media Summit and Showcase and the Best Editing and Technical Effects of Pratt DDA. It also has been selected by 11 film festivals around the world such as Brooklyn Film Festival, ANNY: Animation Nights New York, NYC Downtown Short Film Festival, Los Angeles Short Film Festival and International Animation Festival AJAYU etc..
Another animated short, The Blue Butterfly won the Best Animation of Asians On Film; 13th NYC Downtown Short Film Festival and the Best Film in Animation Feedback Film Festival in 2017. It also has been selected by 18 film festivals around the world including Children's International Film Festival, International Animation Festival AJAYU, Anim!Arte - International Student Animation Festival of Brazil and Brooklyn film festival etc..
